Watching Policy

Can I watch my child's class?

In ten years of teaching experience, I've found that the best learning happens when children attend class without parents (with the exception of the parent-toddler classes, obviously). Children are better able to stay focused during class, and attending class on their own helps build independence and self confidence. However, I know that parents are eager to see what their children are doing in class, so I invite parents to watch the last 5 minutes of class each week, during which I explain the class content of the day. Also, our final week of class we have a special "watching day" when parents and friends are invited to stay and watch the whole class.
